The Peaceful Pill eHandbook
Philip Nitschke, F. Stewart
The print Peaceful Pill Handbook and online Peaceful Pill eHandbook are aimed at providing research and information on euthanasia and assisted suicide for the elderly, those who are seriously ill (for example with cancer or ALS & their family/ friends. The intention is to provide reliable information on euthanasia and assisted suicide.
The Peaceful Pill Handbook series is published on the understanding that assisting a suicide is illegal in most western countries. Asking a loved one to help you can attract harsh penalties, including imprisonment.
However, if a person creates a plan for him/herself for the future – in the hope that it will never be needed but comforted that options exist – loved ones will be protected from the law as rational suicide (or assisted suicide as it is also known) is not a crime.
The ability to make informed decisions about all areas of one’s life is a fundamental civil right. Accurate information based on sound research is therefore of critical importance.
